Dr. Davison is your Ophthalmologist
Ophthalmologists are individuals who have attended four years of undergraduate college, followed by four years of medical school and an additional four years of residency training (that's 12 years, total!).
We are medical doctors who are trained to treat eye diseases, just as a cardiologist treats diseases of the heart. Although we are also eye surgeons, we provide comprehensive and total eye care, ranging from the optical aspect of prescribing glasses and contacts to the most complex of ocular surgery.
Born in Gloversville NY, Dr. Davison has been practicing ophthalmology in Saratoga Springs for over 18 years. He is a Magna Cum Laude Graduate of Albany State University where he received both a Bachelors and Masters in Science. He attended Albany Medical College, graduating with honors. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He completed his ophthalmology training at The Health Science Center at Syracuse in 1993. Originally certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1995, he has recently been recertified until 2015. He specializes in general ophthalmology.
